Dog Will - Every new pet owner knows it is important to make a will, but most put off making one for a variety of reasons.
Bringing in to the home a new pet is a time of great joy and happiness. But with that new pet comes new responsibility. If the pet owner met an untimely death who would look after the pet? The dog will section in your will with your solicitor will provide for your pet when you are gone.
All pet owners should consider making a will with a dog will section and asking the solicitor to make provision and care for your dog or dogs.
There is always the question of paying for its upkeep, even if a good home could be found. A dog will section could include provisions for these things and, maybe, a gift to your favourite animal charity, such as the RSPCA.
Whilst my four legged companion sat beside me I wrote a book which tells the story of The Grey Lady Ghost of the Cambridge Military Hospital which reveals her origins in the QAIMNS and where she meets a QA veteran of Afghanistan. She still walks her wards and tells her story by taking Scott Grey, a QARANC nurse, to the battlefields of World War One and beyond. This is the first in the series of Grey and Scarlet Novels by CG Buswell. Read the first chapter for free.
